Breaking: Alec Baldwin hauled off in handcuffs by New York City police
UPDATE: Outspoken actor Alec Baldwin took to Twitter for an airing of grievances following his arrest by the NYPD for biking the wrong way down a Manhattan street — and then reportedly mouthing off to officers.
“Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave,” he said at 9:29 a.m. ET. “Meanwhile, photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing.
“New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign,” he added.
EARLIER: Alec Baldwin was arrested in New York on Tuesday after he was caught riding his bicycle in the wrong direction on a busy Manhattan street.
